Personal Training with a Personal Touch
At Everyday Athletes, we understand fitness is not a one-size-fits-all product. It must be customized to meet your goals, injury limitations, current mobility, needs, health history, and motivation.
What works for someone else might not work for you and knowing this is why our personal training programs are the best in Louisville, KY.
It’s more than just a visit to the gym. We give you the tools to make effective lifestyle changes.
Each client is given an assessment on their first day that looks at your body composition, goals, injury history, pain, and any other information that would be helpful, in order to design a fitness program that will work for you.
This approach ensures that your time at the gym is effective, your home habits are healthy, and you get the results you want.
What Makes Us the Best Fitness Trainers in Louisville KY?
We take a larger approach to fitness training than other trainers do. We make an investment in your progress and your future.
Gym instruction is only the beginning. No longer are you stuck wandering around the gym and dreaming of your fitness goals, we give you the tools to make it happen. Here are some other things our clients love about us:
Our Qualified Coaches
We don’t employ just any gym junkie with an online certificate in personal training. Each certified fitness coach is required to hold a bachelor degree from a four-year university in human physiology, exercise science, or related field.
We have over 65 years of combined experience in the field, giving you the ultimate resource in finding exactly what works (and what does not).
Now! All programs include a session with our certified nutritionist who looks at your eating habits, stress, sleep, and other factors that may prohibit you from losing weight and feeling great.
Bod Pod Assessments
Forget using the old fashion caliper or unreliable handheld devices. Bod Pods are the most accurate means of determining your body composition and tracking your fat loss and muscle gain goals.
The BOD POD Tracking System is an air displacement plethysmograph which uses whole-body densitometry to determine body composition. A full test requires only about 5 minutes and provides highly accurate, safe, comfortable, and fast test results.
How accurate are Bod Pods?
- Handheld devices – 5-8% margin of error
- Calipers – 3-5% margin of error
- Bod Pod – 1% margin of error
You’ll find we are one of the only personal training gyms in Louisville, KY that includes Bod Pod assessments as a part of all our packages.
Don’t Guess, Know Your Workout Will Get You Results!
You have enough to worry about every day. From work to paying bills, kids, and what’s for dinner. Planning your fitness routine should not feel like a headache.
That’s why our clients love knowing we will have everything planned and ready for them when they come to the gym each day. No need to research the best workout, find healthy recipes, or worry about tracking progress. At Everyday Athletes, we take the guesswork out of working out.
“I started training in 2010. At first I wanted to tone up and get back to my old self. But my torn meniscus, rotator cuff tendentious created limitations. So I decided to reach out and get some help.
Luckily I met Brad. He was able to help stabilize my injuries and help me achieve things I never thought possible. Without the help, guidance, and support of Brad I know I would never have come as far as I have.”

The First Day Of Your Body Transformation
On your first day, you will receive a comprehensive orientation and introduction to fitness training and the Everyday Athletes gym. We analyze your past history, present conditions, and future goals including a full movement assessment to find any muscle imbalances. Some of the things we observe are:
Tell us about your past experiences with physical activity. Did you play sports in school, do you current do yoga but never lifted weights, or are you totally new to this whole working out thing?
Tell us about your current and past health. Have you had any surgeries, illnesses or even just seasonal allergies that might impact your physical ability?
Past and Current Injuries
We want to keep you safe so letting us know about any current or past pain is essential. Have you had to see a physical therapist or chiropractor? Do you tend to feel sore in the same places after activity? Does it hurt when you move a certain way?
Flexibility and strength go hand in hand. We note your current mobility and find ways to improve this.
This is probably the most important thing to learn about you! Results only come if you keep at it and we want to learn how to make that happen. Do you have an event you want to lose weight for or just want to be able to keep up with your kids? Do you respond more to positive thinking or need someone to be your drill sergeant?
Next, we perform an initial Bod Pod test to get you a baseline for tracking progress. Knowing your current body fat to lean mass ratio gives you an even fuller picture of your progress than just your knowing your starting weight.
All orientations include getting a custom meal plan to take the guesswork out of what to eat. Do you like to cook? Only know how to use a microwave? Vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free? All these details come into play when finding the right meal plan for you.
Before the end of your session, we’ll get you setup with a personalized app so you can track your workouts and meals.

Why Hire a Certified Personal Trainer?
Why are you paying for a gym membership if you’re not getting results?
Our certified personal trainers help you get the most of your gym membership by keeping you accountable and motivated.
Research shows those who work out on their own only work half as hard as those who have someone to be accountable to. Our trainers keep your gym days exciting and different by changing things up so you don’t end up doing the same boring workout every day.
We help those with past or present injuries so you can work out safely and effectively.
A gym membership is only as good as you make it. Having a personal trainer on your side is the best way to get real results you can see and feel.
